Polygraph.info reveals RT misled U.S. officials in its foreign agent filing

Among the highlights, VOA’s Polygraph.info filed a two-part (Part 1: November 16, Part 2: November 21) investigative series establishing that RT misled U.S. officials in its foreign agent filing. With information obtained from Russian government reports and websites, the Polygraph team established documentary evidence proving RT and Sputnik exist in Western media space as the propaganda arms of Vladimir Putin’s government.

Other examples of stories debunked by Polygraph were a TASS report that cited 2014 Photos as “proof” that Russia Killed the Islamic State Leader in 2017, a former Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak saying the United States was to blame for deteriorating relations with Russia, and the Russian government’s insistence that the arrest of a well-known Russian theater and movie director, Kirill Serebrennikov, was not censorship.
